9.1 CRITICALpublic exploit availablePublished 2026-10-07 · Updated 2026-10-07
AI risk analysis
- Summary
- The flaw allows an attacker to inject arbitrary Python code by controlling the `agents_file` parameter, leading to remote code execution.
- Exploitability
- Exploitation is relatively easy if the `agents_file` parameter can be controlled, such as via CLI or API.
- Blast radius
- If exploited, the impact could be severe, as it allows full control over the server execution environment.
- Detection
- No reliable host or network indicator is derivable from the published description.
- Prioritized remediation
- Upgrade to version 4.6.78 or later.

NVD description
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 4.6.78, the `deploy/api.py` module generates Python server code by directly interpolating the `agents_file` parameter into an f-string that is then written to a file and executed via `subprocess.Popen()`. An attacker who controls the `agents_file` value (via CLI argument, configuration, or upstream API) can inject arbitrary Python code. Version 4.6.78 patches the issue.
